The primary tasks for the section are:

• to produce a Companies Bill to restructure and consolidate Irish company law based on the General Scheme of Companies Consolidation and Reform Bill;

• to advance the drafting of the text of this Companies Bill; and

• to facilitate the Company Law Review Group work-programme 2010-2012.

Parts 1 to 15 of the Companies Bill, corresponding to “Pillar A” of the General Scheme, have been drafted and are available here.
