Information Security, Asset Management and Collaboration
The Information Security, Asset Management and Collaboration section is responsible for
• ICT Security Policy development, implementation and auditing
• Information security awareness
• ICT Strategy
• Asset management
• Invoice & purchasing
• Risk Register
• Business Continuity Planning
• Collaboration tools and technologies
• Email and messaging systems (Lotus Notes/Domino)
• The Department’s Intranet
• Online Export Licensing Applications System
• Employment Permits Management System
• Small business databases and case tracking systems
ICT Business Services and Patents Office ICT
The ICT Business Services and Patents Office ICT section is responsible for
• Managing the interaction between Business Units and the ICT Unit and customer service through the ICT Users Panel
• Having a Governance role over ICT through the ICT Steering Group, monitoring customer feedback, monitoring and controlling the ICT budget, coordinating ICT returns to CMOD, Department of Finance and ICT Unit coordination
• ICT training strategy and user support & training
• ICT Business Plan
• ICT Project Management
• Patents Office ICT (Ptolemy system) Support and Development
• Patents Office ICT Disaster Recovery
Database Services
The Database Services section is responsible for the development and support of
• NERA’s ERES system
• EAT’s case management system
• The Department’s Time Management System
• LRC’s IKEN system
• Redundancy Payments management and online systems, and the Insolvency Payments System
• The Department’s Financial Management System, and Payroll System,
• BASIS website
• The use of eForms technology to support various applications
• Emergency Planning Coordination
