From 1^st January 2008 a new Unit within Enterprise Ireland (EI) – the CEB Central Coordination Unit (CCU) – has assumed responsibility for the provision of day-to-day operational, technical and financial support to the CEBS. The Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation continues to be the CEBs’ lead Department with primary policy and funding responsibility, and will focus, in conjunction with the CCU, on strategic policy development in respect of the CEBs and the micro-enterprise sector in general.
