TÁNAISTE OFFICIALLY OPENS IRISH CALENDAR & DIARY PROMOTIONS LIMITED NEW PREMISES IN WESTPOINT BUSINESS PARK, BLANCHARDSTOWN, DUBLIN 15
Mary Hearney, Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment today (Friday, 17th September) officially opened Irish Calendar & Diary Promotions Limited's new premises at Westpoint Business Park, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15.
Congratulating the company on their growth and dynamism in a very competitive sector, the Tanaiste said " Tom Morrisey is running a very fine business providing valuable employment in the Blanchardstown area. His company is now in a growth path, breaking into export markets. It is essential for small and medium sized enterprises to break into exporting as quickly as possible. I am delighted to acknowledge that the capital grant provided by Fingal County Enterprise for automated machinery will facilitate the company in competing for export business"
Irish Calendar & Diary Promotions Ltd. specialises in the manufacture of corporate advertising calendars and diaries and offers a specialist Wire-O-Binding service to the printing trade. The main strengths of the company are its versatility and ability to design and match customer requirements from its in-house design and production facility.
The company moved to its present location in Westpoint Business Park in June 1998 and a further expansion is due to take place in 1999 with the erection of a purpose built building in Damastown, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, planning permission for which has already been granted.
Working with Fingal County Enterprise Board, Irish Calendar & Diary Promotions Limited has moved from being a print broker where work was sub-contracted to other firms to its present position in the market where it is a fully independent, business venture offering a broad range of printing services to its clients.
The printing industry in Ireland is faced with a challenge to its competitive spirit in the light of tougher competition from the UK for domestic business. "Irish Calendar & Diary Promotions is geared to face that challenge whilst continuing to make a significant contribution to the overall performance of the printing sector," the Tanaiste said.
