Tom Kitt, Minister for Consumer Affairs, expressed serious concern today (Friday 19th February 1999) at allegations of possible breaches of the Groceries Order. The Minister has been in touch with the Director of Consumer Affairs, Carmel Foley, concerning the allegations.
Minister Kitt welcomed the decision of the Director to investigate the allegations as a matter of urgency. He looks forward to discussing the outcome of the investigation with the Director as soon as it becomes available.
