Tánaiste Announces 150 New Jobs in Expansion of Clonshaugh Facility
Mary Harney, Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment today (Thursday 13th July 2000) officially opened the newIy expanded Eurologic Systems facility in Clonshaugh where she announced that the company would create a further 150 jobs bringing the total employment there to 214 by the end of December 2000.
Specialising in the design and manufacture of cutting edge data storage solutions since 1988, Eurologic has emerged as a leading force in the data storage industry world-wide.
Speaking at the opening the Tánaiste said "it was always a good day to celebrate success particularly if that success is achieved by an Irish company. Eurologic have clearly shown that Irish companies can and do succeed in the global marketplace. From the outset, Eurologic has been at the forefront of technology and has been quick to adopt and exploit emerging standards. This pioneering spirit, coupled with an unfailing commitment to excellence, customer satisfaction and quality, has enabled the company achieve an impressive growth rate".
The Tánaiste continued "Eurologic has a long and successful relationship with Enterprise Ireland since the company was established in 1988. Indeed the State, through Enterprise Ireland, is a stakeholder in this highly successful business and we all therefore have a vested interest in seeing Eurologic grow from strength to strength on a global scale. Enterprise Ireland has also supported the company in developing it's R&D capability and it's overseas market place activity. This partnership approach has played a major role in the development of Eurologic's customer relationships which are also long term and highly successful."
The Company has successfully marketed its products through leading file server suppliers, such as Dell Computer and Network Appliance; through major telecommunications infrastructure providers and through vertical market solutions providers, such as Avid Technology and Siemens Medical", the Tánaiste added.
The Tánaiste congratulated Eurologic on its achievements and wished "success to all those working at the newly expanded facility in Clonshaugh".
