Tánaiste Announces £1.7m Investment by the Bromley Group Enterprise Ireland Supports Expansion Over 60 New Jobs Being Created

Mary Harney Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade & Employment today, (Thursday, 23 March, 2000) announced a £1.7m investment by The Bromley Group which will result in the creation of more than 60 new jobs. The investment is supported by Enterprise Ireland. Twenty-six of the new jobs will be located at Bromley’s Business Intelligence operation in Dublin bringing total numbers employed there to 40. The Tánaiste made the announcement at the official opening of The Bromley Group headquarters in Dublin.

Making the announcement the Tánaiste said that this further expansion follows closely on her recent announcement of the establishment by The Bromley Group of its European Customer Care Centre in Letterkenny with the creation of 35 new jobs. These announcements will bring the number of people employed by The Bromley Group to 100.

“This new facility in Dublin will be the company’s nerve centre for R&D. It will accelerate its software development and grow its business intelligence software products across a number of key sectors” the Tánaiste said.

Matthew Maxwell, CEO, The Bromley Group said: "This expansion will mean The Bromley Group has the resources and presence to become a international leader in the growing business intelligence software market".

He added: "The business marketplace is undergoing a dramatic transformation, driven by customers evolving needs and the rapid changes in technology. Organisations recognise that the one of the key enablers for survival in the increasingly competitive landscape is business intelligence. Business intelligence is a strategic imperative, and one that requires standardised, universal access to information across the enterprise."
