Licence Granted for operation of Tuam /Dublin Daily Bus Service

Mr. Noel Treacy T.D., Minister for Science, Technology and Commerce has this week warmly welcomed the decision by his Government Colleagues Ministers Mary O’Rourke T.D, and Joe Jacob T.D., and the Department of Public Enterprise, to grant a licence for the operation of a daily Bus Service, between Tuam and both Dublin City and Airport.

Minister Treacy said, "I know the importance of a reliable Bus Service for the People of Tuam and North Galway and I have discussed this matter at the highest level, with my Government Colleagues, Mrs Mary O’Rourke T.D., Minister for Public Enterprise, and Mr. Joe Jacob T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Public Enterprise. I am now delighted that the licence to officially operate this Bus Service, has been granted."

Minister Treacy continued, "This Bus Service will complement the current Return Bus Service, which is licensed to operate between Tuam and Dublin, at weekends and Bank Holiday Monday’s. Travelling is now all part of daily life for most of the People in our Community, students, shoppers and business people alike, and the licensing of this Service should ensure the future sustainability of this vital Service in Tuam and North Galway," concluded Minister Treacy.
