Tanaiste Responds to Technicolor Closure

Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade & Employment, Mary Harney, today (Wednesday 5 February, 2003) said that she had learned of the closure of Technicolor in Youghal only this afternoon and that the news had come as a complete surprise. She described the announcement as a devastating body blow, not just for the workforce in the company, but for the entire community, particularly coming so soon after the recent announcement of the closure of Artesyn Technologies.
