Media Notification

On the eve of the EU/US Summit (Friday 25th June 2004) the Executive Board of the TransAtlantic Business Dialogue (TABD) will meet in Adare Manor, County Limerick.

TABD members, which include CEO's from major international companies will also meet with senior political representatives from Europe and the US including Tánaiste (Deputy Prime Minister), Mary Harney, US Secretary of Commerce, Donald Evans and EU Commissioner for Enterprise, Jan Figel.

The TABD will present to the EU/US Summit in Dromoland Castle on Saturday 26th June 2004 their report and recommendations for the establishment of a barrier-free transatlantic market.

The TABD comprises business leaders from US and European companies operating in the United States, Europe and globally and seeks to establish a barrier-free transatlantic market between the US and EU that will serve as a catalyst for global trade liberalisation and prosperity. Companies are represented by their chief executives who are personally involved in setting the TABD's priorities and policy recommendations. Since 1995, the TABD has played an important role in fostering the exchange of ideas and promoting constructive solutions in US-EU issues.

Transport

Official transport to Adare Manor for those already accredited for attendance at the EU/US Summit will be provided. A bus will leave the EU/US Summit Press and Accreditation Centre in St. Flannan's Community College, Ennis, Co. Clare at 16.00 on Friday 25th June 2004.

Those travelling independently to Adare Manor and not accredited for the EU/US Summit should bring formal identification i.e. valid Passport / identity card and Press card and letter from editor.

Admission to Adare Manor for members of the media will be at the discretion of the Garda Siochana.
