PI Investment Management opens Dublin office

Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Micheál Martin TD today (22^nd June 2005) performed the official opening of the Dublin office of Australian financial services company PI Investment Management.

PI Investment Management is an Asset Management company specialising in global equities investments targeted at Institutional and High Net Worth Individual markets worldwide. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Perpetual Trustees Australia Ltd., which offers a range of managed investment funds, financial advice and wealth management services to individuals and institutions. The company launched its office in Ballsbridge, in September 2004 and has seen its team grow to fourteen. The main activity of the Irish company is the development and implementation of an investment strategy for global equities. Other activities include sales and marketing, risk management, product development, legal compliance and finance. It currently manages approximately €1.15 billion in assets.

Minister Martin welcomed PI Investment Management to Dublin and congratulated the company on a speedy and successful start up. "Yet again Ireland has proved itself as a highly attractive location for an international financial services company seeking to expand its business and diversify into new areas. This is the first office for the company outside Australia and to choose to locate it here is indicative of the high regard for Ireland as a location for global financial services", he added.
