Minister Killeen Launches LRC Annual Report
The Minister for Labour Affairs, Tony Killeen T.D. today (Thursday 30th June 2005) launched the Labour Relations Commission Annual Report for 2004. In launching the Report, the Minister thanked the Board and staff of the LRC for their continued delivery of an excellent, high quality, highly respected service.
Minster Killeen acknowledged the important role that the Labour Relations Commission plays in maintaining and enhancing industrial relations stability in Ireland, with 2004 having the lowest number of days lost through industrial disputes and the lowest number of disputes commenced since such data was first recorded in 1923.
“Our industrial relations stability is a key factor in attracting and retaining investment into Ireland. It is essential that we maintain this stability in order to continue to compete for inward investment and the continued growth of our indigenous sector, Minister Killeen said.”
