Minister Martin Announces Siemens Acceleration to invest in Idiro Technologies

Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Micheál Martin today (Thursday 3^rd November 2005) announced that Idiro Technologies has received venture capital funding from Siemens under the Siemens Acceleration in Communications fund.

Idiro Technologies is Ireland’s leading international provider of social network and intelligent call centre solutions for the mobile telecommunications sector.

Making the announcement Minister Martin said “I am delighted to make this announcement as it is the first time that this Fund has made such an investment in an Irish company. In conjunction with this deal, Idiro Technologies will also receive additional funding from Enterprise Ireland. This deal will help support Idiro Technologies’ pioneering work in the telecommunications software solutions market and enable a rapid growth phase.”

“This investment from Siemens gives a young start up company such as Idiro significantly more credibility in the marketplace”, the Minister added.

Minister Martin made the announcement during a visit to Germany with Enterprise Ireland in support of Irish Telecoms companies efforts in the German markets.
