Statement by Minister Tony Killeen re: ESB Moneypoint

Responding to the threat of possible industrial action at Moneypoint ESB power plant in Co. Clare, Minister for Labour Affairs Tony Killeen expressed his surprise at ZRE’s decision to terminate the contract of some of its workers.

Minister Killeen said: “I would urge all parties to negotiate a settlement of this potential dispute and to use the service of the Labour Relation Commission to facilitate an early resolution to this issue”.
