Minister Micheál Martin Opens New Headquarters of ProsCon Ltd in Cork
40 New High Skilled Engineering and Scientific Jobs Created
Minister for Enterprise, Trade & Employment Micheál Martin T.D. today (Monday 10th April 2006) officially opened the new purpose built headquarters of ProsCon Ltd in the Carrigtohill Business Park, Cork. The Minister also announced the creation of 40 new highly skilled science and engineering jobs at the Cork headquarters.
ProsCon, an Enterprise Ireland client company, provides a wide range of Engineering Services and Solutions for the International Pharmaceutical Industry. The company currently employs over 200 engineers, scientists, managers, technicians and support staff at its offices in Cork, Dublin, the UK, and Singapore.
Commenting at the opening Minister Martin said: “I am delighted to officially open ProsCon’s new headquarters in Carrigtohill, Cork and to announce the creation of 40 new highly skilled scientific and engineering roles at the Cork site.
“With support from Enterprise Ireland, ProsCon has grown to become an internationally recognised market leader. I would like to congratulate the ambition and leadership of the management team at ProsCon who have risen to the challenge of establishing and growing an internationally competitive business.”
“This purpose built headquarters will provide ProsCon with the capacity for significant future growth. ProsCon will not only provide high value employment in the region but will also generate spin-off economic benefits for the local economy” the Minister said.
Commenting at the opening Niall Foley, ProsCon’s Managing Director said: “This facility represents a significant milestone in our growth and an investment in the future for the company and our customers. We have been successful in winning a number of high profile projects this year and this is down to the knowledge, expertise and professionalism of the ProsCon Team.”
Welcoming the Ministers announcements Brian Quinlan, Regional Director, Enterprise Ireland said: “The development of a strong base of Irish companies of significant scale is necessary to sustain economic growth. ProsCon is a successful indigenous company with immense future growth potential. Enterprise Irelands SME Scaling unit is working closely with the company to ensure it realises this potential. ”
