Software Firms must deliver good quality products and services on time and on budget
Minister for Trade and Commerce, Mr. Michael Ahern, T.D. today (Wednesday, 31st May, 2006), officially opened an Effective Software Development seminar organised by Enterprise Ireland in The Stillorgan Park Hotel, Dublin. The event was organised to help Irish software companies to improve their software development processes.
Speaking at the event, Minister Ahern said, “Ireland is renowned worldwide as a centre for software development and software products. However we must continuously strive to defend and strengthen this position and perception, if we are to retain our reputation into the future. Irish companies need to be able to consistently deliver good quality products and services on time and on budget - all characteristics required to compete effectively in today’s global economy”.
