Minister Killeen welcomes publication of the Labour Court Annual Report 2005
The Minister for Labour Affairs, Mr Tony Killeen, T.D., today (Wednesday 26th July 2006) welcomed the publication of the Annual Report of the Labour Court for 2005.
The Minister congratulated the Labour Court on the key role it continues to play in contributing to the stable industrial relations climate in Ireland.
He paid tribute to the work of the Labour Court during 2005 and thanked the members and staff of the Court for meeting the challenges which this work presents.
The Minister noted that 2005 has been another year of considerable achievement for the Labour Court with the upward trend in the throughput of cases continuing.
The Minister welcomed the establishment of the Labour Court Users’ Council and said that “the Courts excellent reputation is built on the maintenance of high standards and a commitment to quality customer service. This Users’ Council will make an important contribution to assisting the Labour Court and ensuring the interests of the customers of the Court continue to be well served.”
