Minister Ahern Welcomes New Redevelopment Plans for Haulbowline

Michael Ahern, Minister for Trade and Commerce and local T.D. for Cork East has warmly welcomed the announcement by his colleague Minister Micheál Martin that an interdepartmental project team is to be established to develop proposals for the redevelopment of Haulbowline Island, in his constituency.

Minister Ahern said: “This announcement clearly shows the Government’s commitment to the future growth of this area. The development of a new vision for this area of Cork has the potential to attract new investors, grow our tourism industry and most importantly create a new and improved environment for people to live and work.
