Tánaiste Congratulates Merrion Pharmaceuticals

Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Mary Coughlan, T.D. today (Monday 24^th November 2008) congratulated Merrion Pharmaceuticals on their US$58 million agreement with Novo Nordisk.

The Tánaiste said: “Merrion Pharmaceuticals are to be congratulated on this major multi-million dollar contract with Novo Nordisk. This is a relatively new indigenous Irish Company, who with the support of Government through Enterprise Ireland, has made immense progress over the past four years. The research and development of pharmaceutical technologies and products being conducted by Merrion is at the cutting edge and clearly this is now being recognised in the wider Pharma environment”
