Minister Kelleher Welcomes Jobs Announcement for Kilbarry

Minister for Labour Affairs Mr. Billy Kelleher today (Thursday 4th November 2008) welcomed the announcement that Option Wireless Limited is to expand its operation at Kilbarry Industrial Estate with the creation of 145 new jobs.

Minsister Kelleher said “The decision by Option Wireless to expand its operation and create an additional 145 new jobs at its Kilbarry facility was strongly influenced by its success to date, for which the Cork management and workforce are to be congratulated. In this difficult economic environment it is important to stress that Cork continues to be an extremely attractive location for new investment and for existing companies to develop and grow their business”.

“This expansion reflects the importance of the Cork operation in the global business of Option Wireless and puts it at the core of the company's future development”, Minister Kelleher added.

“I congratulate the management and workers at Kilbarry and given the performance of its operation to date I am confident of its future growth and success," Minister Kelleher concluded.
