Statement by the Tánaiste in relation to LTAI
The Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Ms. Mary Coughlan, T.D., has this evening expressed her concern at serious developments at Lufthansa Technik Airmotive Ireland Limited (“LTAI”) in Rathcoole, Dublin.
The Tánaiste has worked closely with senior trade union representatives with a view to saving the company and the jobs in Ireland. She said that it would be most regrettable if the actions of a small few jeopardise the jobs of so many in this highly skilled sector.
The Tánaiste concluded by calling on the minority of workers opposed to the 25 April agreement reached at the National Implementation Body to consider the serious implications of their actions for their and their colleagues’ jobs.
