Cork Company Prosys Sampling Systems Signs $1m Contract in US
Minister Kelleher Announces Major Design and Manufacturing Contract for Prosys with Leading Pharmaceutical Company
The Minister for Trade and Commerce, Mr. Billy Kelleher T.D. today (Friday 12th February 2010) announced that Cork company ProSys Sampling Systems has agreed a US$1,000,000 contract with one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in the world on a project to design and manufacture high containment isolators for their United States headquarters. The announcement was made during the Boston leg of Enterprise Ireland’s trade visit to the US East Coast which is taking place this week.
High containment isolators aid in the handling of highly active and/or toxic chemicals ensuring the non-contamination of elements throughout the product research and development lifecycle, while enabling both manual and automatic handling procedures to be carried out with minimal operator exposure.
Making the announcement Minister Kelleher said:
“I’d like to warmly congratulate Prosys Sampling Systems on this significant contract in the United States. Prosys is a leading example of the innovative, high-technology design and manufacturing companies that are developing in Ireland. This is a significant achievement by the company that will enable them to further internationalise and will support their ongoing business in Midleton.”
Michael McLoughlin, Managing Director at ProSys Sampling Systems said:
