Building a Business on Your Ideas
To mark World Intellectual Property Day 2010, the Patents Office will hold a half-day seminar on the theme of ‘Building a Business on Your Ideas’ on Monday 26th April 2010 from 10.00a.m. to 1.00p.m. in its Offices on Hebron Road, Kilkenny. Admission is free.
The seminar is aimed at the ‘small business’ community, entrepreneurs and inventors and will focus on how business should be aware of and can exploit the value of Intellectual Property (Patents, Trade Marks, Designs and Copyright).
According to Eamonn Laird, Controller of Patents “This seminar provides a valuable opportunity for entrepreneurs, inventors, people in business, or those thinking of going into business, to learn from experts about the importance and value of patents, trade marks, industrial designs and copyright to business, in all sectors of the economy”.
The speakers are all experts in their speciality areas and include a Patent Attorney, an Innovation Expert, an Executive from Enterprise Ireland and a Patent Examiner from the Patents Office.
Throughout the morning there will be an opportunity for attendees to have one-to-one discussions with the guest speakers and with Patent and Trade Mark Examiners from the Patents Office.
