Minister Kelleher announces Louth E-Learning company Learnosity secures ¤100K deal with Australian Schools Association

The Minister for Trade and Commerce Mr Billy Kelleher T.D. today (Friday) announced that Louth e-learning company Learnosity has signed a ¤100k contract with Australian Independent Schools Queensland to implement its voice assessment and learning solution.

The announcement was made during a week long Enterprise Ireland trade mission of 44 companies to Australia.

Learnosity is an award winning specialist e-learning solutions provider which has a number of major public and private sector clients across Europe, the Middle East, USA and Australia.

Making the announcement, Minister Kelleher said: “Learnosity is a prime example of the technology-led, export focussed companies that are leading Ireland’s smart economy.

‘The company has established a fast growing business, not just in Australia but in many other parts of the globe and is a leading innovator in the field of digital education.”

Mark Lynch of Learnosity said: “Learnosity are delighted to be working on this innovative project with independent schools QLD. This project will demonstrate how language learning can be accelerated through the appropriate use of Ipod’s and Learnosity’s voice technology.”

The Enterprise Ireland trade mission to Australia included Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra and Irish companies from a range of sectors participated including software, financial services, telecoms, e-learning, life sciences and environmental services.

Irish enterprise exports to Australia are worth almost ¤100m per year making Australia the largest market in the Asia Pacific Region and the ninth largest export market in the world for Irish exporting companies. Over 70 Irish companies have a physical presence in the market.
