The Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Innovation, Batt O’Keeffe TD, today [Tuesday] announced that a global firm that boosts business revenues by providing high-tech solutions for customer service needs is to create 70 jobs as part of an expansion plan.

ServiceSource - the global leader in technology-based service revenue performance solutions for the high-tech, healthcare and life science sectors - is to expand its Dublin headquarters serving the European, Middle-East and Asian (EMEA) markets.

The expansion will create 70 new highly skilled positions, bringing the workforce in the Sandyford-based firm to 380.

Recruitment begins immediately.

The investment is supported by the Government through IDA Ireland.

ServiceSource is the world’s leading provider of cloud computing-enabled solutions which boost service revenue performance for technology, healthcare and life science clients.

The firm has six global service centres for technology and healthcare information technology customers in more than 30 languages across 100 countries.

Clients include Microsoft, Adobe, Symantec, AT&T and GE Healthcare.

ServiceSource, which established its Dublin headquarters for the EMEA markets in 2005, initially planed to recruit 110 workers.

The new jobs will be in human resources, training, information technology, and operations for ServiceSource EMEA clients.

Announcing the jobs today, Minister O’Keeffe said the firm’s expansion plan was a strong signal that confidence is returning to the economy and major investors are now planning for the recovery.

‘Since establishing its Irish operation in 2005, ServiceSource has continued to grow and expand.

‘Firms such as ServiceSource are at the forefront of innovation, creating new jobs and services in technologies that make a difference to clients’ bottom line in an increasingly competitive global marketplace.

‘The new jobs endorse the Government’s focus on innovation and the knowledge economy because our policies are helping to deliver the calibre of graduate major players such as ServiceSource seek to drive their business models,’ said Minister O’Keeffe.

The executive vice-president and managing director of ServiceSource EMEA, Crosbie Burns, said: ‘ServiceSource Dublin has been operating very successfully since it established in 2005.

‘We have a fantastic team here in Dublin and we are delighted to be expanding our workforce here to continue to support our EMEA customers.’

Welcoming the announcement, the IDA Ireland chief executive, Barry O’Leary, said: ‘This is terrific news for ServiceSource.

‘ServiceSource is a significant multinational company and this development is reinforcement of Ireland’s ability to provide a nurturing environment where leading corporations can continue to expand.’
