Submissions received 2012 on the Consultation Paper

On the 29th February, 2012 the Copyright Review Committee published a Consultation Paper and invited further submissions from parties interested in the issues raised in the Paper.

The Copyright Review Committee announces limited extension of time for submissions, 29 May 2012

The Chair of the Copyright Review Committee, Dr Eoin O'Dell, has today (Tuesday, 29 May 2012) announced a limited extension of time for submissions to the Committee.

The Copyright Review Committee extends closing date for receipt of submissions on the Consultation Paper.

Following a large number of requests for an extension of time, the Copyright Review Committee has decided to extend the closing date for receipt of submissions to 5.00pm on Thursday 31 May 2012.

Public Meeting on Copyright Review Committee’s Consultation Paper to be held on Saturday 24 March 2012.

A public meeting on the Committee’s Consultation paper will be held on Saturday 24 March 2012, from 10.00am to 12.00 noon, in the Robert Emmet Lecture Theatre, Room 2037 Arts Block, Trinity College, Dublin.

The Copyright Review Committee has prepared an online questionnaire for responses to the Consultation Paper

Minister Sherlock has announced that an online questionnaire, containing the eighty-six questions in the Consultation Paper, is now available. Please answer as many or as few as you like.

The Copyright Review Committee has published a wide-ranging Consultation Paper which examines the current Copyright legislative framework to identify any areas of the legislation that might be deemed to create barriers to innovation.

Submissions Received by the Copyright Review Committee

On the 9 May 2011, the Committee issued a call for submissions on the current Copyright legislative framework. The Committee has received over 100 submissions in response to this call.

First Consultation on the Review of the Copyright and Related Rights Act 2000, Summer 2011

A Consultation on the Review of the Copyright and Related Rights Act 2000 was launched in May of 2011. The purpose of which was to identify any problems that might be perceived to create barriers to innovation, seek submissions from interested parties and make recommendations to resolve any problems identified.
