In this paper, the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Innovation addresses some key strategies and suggested priorities for a successor to the Lisbon Agenda as we enter the final year of the EU’s growth and jobs strategy.

This Innovation Policy Statement highlights progress made on a broad range of innovation policy areas, both technological and non-technological, and emphasises a new focus on innovation in all sectors of the economy. The Statement complements the Strategy for Science, Technology and Innovation launched in 2006.

Knowledge and Enterprise Clusters (PDF, 1.44MB)

The EU has been developing a cluster policy for Europe based on fostering transnational cooperation and growing expertise in this area. This paper provides an overview of the development of industrial networks and clusters in Ireland.
