Conference on the Future of Work

The Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation is hosting a high level conference on the Future of Work in Dublin Castle on Friday 12th May.

The one day conference, which takes place in the context of the ILO's flagship Centenary Initiative on the Future of Work, will bring together key stakeholders from the social partners, industry and academia for a national dialogue on this important topic.

Questions to be addressed on the day include:

- Do we have new forms of work?

- What is the impact of technology on the employer/employee relationship?

- Will the gig economy transform work as we know it?

Speakers on the day will include Minister Mary Mitchell O’Connor, Minister Pat Breen, Patricia King (ICTU), Danny McCoy (Ibec), as well as Professor Jeremias Prassl (University of Oxford), Julie Spillane (Accenture) and Mr. David Foden (Eurofound).
