Industry leader in hyperconverged infrastructure rapidly expands its international footprint, furthers job creation within the EU

WESTBOROUGH, Mass.—November 5, 2014—SimpliVity, the leader in hyperconverged infrastructure for the software-defined data centre, today announced plans to establish its service and support centre for Europe, the Middle East and Africa in Cork, Ireland.

SimpliVity has plans to hire 70 employees over a three-year period to work at the Cork location, with the potential for future expansion. Recruitment for the new roles is already underway.

SimpliVity remains in high growth mode, nearly tripling its number of employees year over year and rapidly adding new customers and partnerships. The company has also recently extended its global presence into the Asia Pacific and Japan regions, in addition to EMEA.

“We continue to experience tremendous growth as customers accelerate their transition away from legacy IT environments to software-defined infrastructure,” said Randy Boutin, vice president of global services at SimpliVity. “Our new service and support centre is further validation of this, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to base this operation in Cork and help drive the local economy.”

OmniStack—SimpliVity’s novel technology that includes 10 patent-pending innovations—powers an assimilated IT infrastructure platform. OmniStack’s data virtualization platform abstracts data from its underlying hardware, shifting the management paradigm from hardware resources to virtual machines/workloads, and providing unparalleled data mobility. It achieves superior data efficiency by deduplicating, compressing and optimizing all data at inception in real time, once and forever—and without performance penalties. It also natively integrates backup, replication and cloud enablement to provide further operational efficiency and TCO reduction. By packaging OmniStack on an x86 platform—either on Dell servers sold as OmniCube, or on Cisco UCS systems sold as OmniStack Integrated Solution with Cisco UCS—customers get hyperconverged infrastructure that provides hypervisor, compute, storage services and network switching.
